Special Session

Special Session Introduction

Developing distributed resources is an inevitable choice for constructing the new power system to help realize achieving the "double carbon" goal. However, the widespread access of distributed resources has brought great challenges of real-time changes in operating status and multiple uncertainties in operating environment to the distribution network. Flexible aggregation, regulation and management of multiple types of distributed resources play an important role in distribution system operation facing complex and changeable operating conditions. Thus, introducing novel techniques and theories for aggregation, regulation and management of distributed resources is of great significance in facilitating the safe, stable and efficient operation of the distribution system.

Technical Outline of the Session:

This special session focuses on a hot research topic - aggregation, regulation and management of distribution resources in distribution systems. To cope with global climate changing, energy crisis and environmental pollution, promoting the active transformation of the energy structure into a low-carbon, clean and sustainable one has become a global consensus. In the new era, there will be a variety of massive distributed resources with different performances connected to the distribution network. In this sense, flexible aggregation, regulation and management of distributed resources in distribution systems have attracted significant attention from both academia and industry. Novel techniques and theories in related area are encouraged in this special session. Topics of interest include (but are not limit to): distribution system operation, flexible aggregation of distributed resources, regulation and management of distributed resources, coordinated dispatch of distributed resources, operation of virtual power plant in demand side, etc.
